New Creative Hobby - Face Painting
I have learned how to do makeup, a normal everyday makeup but after seeing so many interesting face and body painting at IMATS, I wanted to give face painting a try for a long time but never get around to do it. I have search the net for a class but the only place that does face painting courses is in Paddington and I am not too keen to travel so far. The beginner class cost £99. Quite pricey as well.
Additionally, the classes only runs during the weekdays and that means I have to take a day off to attend the class. So I thought I will continue to search till I find one closer and with reasonable price. I have been talking to one of my best friend about it and she was interested too. I am one lucky gal and I tell you why. She's into most of the things I like to do during my free time so I have a company to attend all the cool classes. After I've my google, I actually found a college near Richmond that runs the course on a Saturday and it was around £40. I quickly message my friend about it but she's got an even better news for me. There's a two hours beginner class that cost only £10. It was run on at a local fabric shop call Fabric Warehouse. I can't believe our luck! So how was the class? It was fabulous coz we have never paint a face or being face painted before so we get a taste of how it's like.
There's two other students there and they have some experience. They already have their own painting kits and does some events but attended the class anyway to see if there's anything new to learn. Tina the tutor told us that she never attended any class and said she learn most of it from YouTube. She is very good at teaching us on the basics and very informative. We are so glad we attended the class. We then order our first face painting kit (Snazaroo) from Amazon. Snazaroo is suppose to be a very good brand for beginners. We have so much fun at home painting our own face and drawing tattoo on our hands.

Getting back to blogging
My goodness. It has been a long long time since I last blog and I thought I'll never come back! Blogging sure is not easy. I salute those who blogs constantly and they seem to have endless topics to talk about. Oh well, I can only try my best I guess.
I witness some bloggers who are quite popular stop blogging and switch to Youtube. It's quite a shame really coz I do like reading their blogs. I get to learn a lot of things. I enjoy reading blogs because I get to be there with the blogger, you know, experiencing it through reading, if you get my drift. It is not possible for a person to go to some places or tryout certain things but by reading the experience, you kinda join in the thrill a little.
Anyway, it's Friday. Although I do love my Fridays but this weekend I am going to be super busy. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend. Ciao.

Eyeko
Have you try out Eyeko? I know a lot of gals have tried it out as I can see there's lots of reviews on the products. I have come accross these cute cute products while I was browsing in Superdrug last year. Sadly Superdrug no longer carry this brand therefore I don't get to play around with it when I'm there. Well, I suppose it's okay coz I can buy them directly from Eyeko and furthermore they always have some good bargain.
I bought quite a few things from Eyeko- the 3 in 1 cream and the tinted cream. The delivery is really fast. I got my things in 2 days. The 3 in 1 cream is absolutely brilliant. It gives that instant glow that you just love. I will post some photos later for your view. I bought all their fat balm shades too. I love tinted lipbalm but it's a bother to dip my hands in a pot so these babies makes life easier. It's everything in one - cute cute packaging, moisturizing and easy to use.
Recently Eyeko come up with new polish colours. It's so pretty that I can't help it but to get some of these cool colours. It's only £3.50 for 8.5ml. Checkout the colours - Posh Taupe, Tea Rose Pink, Coral Dark Peach, Petite French Nails, Vampira Lustre Black With Ruby Sparkle, Vintage Mint Green, Cosmic Black With Gold Stars, Nude Natural Beige, Indigo Saphire Blue, Lilac Morning Glory, Rain Fantastic Grey and Saucy Scarlet
I got them from Eyeko website. Do get them now coz there's a promotion going on. You get a free bottle of nail polish when you purchase £10 worth of Eyeko products.
For further goodies, remember to enter code E10672 at checkout to get a free gift with your purchase.
Well, that's it for now. I'll post the photos of the Eyeko stuff later. Cheerio ^.^

Summer Nails
Summer has been crazy here in the UK. It has been really hot and you can hear the reminder on the radio saying 'bring your bottle of water everywhere you go'. There's even a topic on LBC asking whether we should be reminded to drink water all the time like a child. What do you think? Personally I do think a little bit of reminder is not a bad thing. There's people who died from the heat in London two years ago and some actually fainted while working at their desk. The newspaper even said that if it becomes too hot and there's no way the employer can cool down the work environment, the employees can go home.
Oh well, enough ranting about the heat. I'm gonna show off my summer nails. It's a really simple design but I like it. Just paint any colour you like then put on some cute stickers and then paint it with a clear colour. Wahlah...you got yourself some cute nails ^_^
I got the sticker from Claires. Price may varies. I got these for £1 coz it was on sale.

I.M.A.T.S London
As promise, I am going to do a little post on the I.M.A.T.S London 2010. It has been great and I'm loving the creativity of the brilliant artists there.
It was held at Alexandra Palace in Wood Green, London. The view there is fantastic. The classic building add a serene charm to the scene.
I was really excited as I walk into the building. I can't wait to check out all the cool make up and accessories.
As soon as I enter, I can see a model being painted on the stage. He's a big dudeee...lol
It will take a while for the make up artist to finish painting him for sure. Hmm...very muscular!
The next booth after the stage of the big dude is the MAC booth.
MAC staff is painting a male model as well but he's not as big. He is being painted by a few make up artists. Looks like he's gonna be painted quick. I didn't go back to the booth so didn't get a shot of the finished work.
As I walkabout, there's so much more interesting models. I do think she's in the futuristic design costume painting. Hmm...Princess Leia's buns reinvent...lol
Next is my favourite booth coz I can see so many interesting charaters. Here's one of them, Cruela de vil. Ooo la la
Next, The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland, my fav in I.M.A.T.S.
Next is the sexy kitten.
I think this model is probably doing a bird theme make up. What do you think?
There's another booth that's really interesting. Check out the heads. Don't they look realistic? Kinda creeps me out.
Remember Nutty Professor?? Here ya go...this is underneath Eddie Murphy.
Wigs anyone?
Lastly, it's the cute gremlin.
Surprisingly, I didn't actually buy much. I got a bottle of Make Up Forever HD Microperfecting Primer in pink and some brushes. I'm loving the primer. When I use it, it gives me that happy healthy glow. I will try to do a review soon on that. At the moment, that's it for now ;)

UK new Era
Hmm...looks like my every month blog entry didn't happened. I'm still trying to get the hang of it. I've seen others who blogs all the time and the topic seems to flow quite easily...but when I log on, I just don't know where to start. Well, anyway, today I'm just gonna say what has happened since I last blog. Gosh...that was months ago.
I've been to IMATS, London Fashion Weekend, witness the new Prime Minister being elected.
IMATS has been very interesting. I must admit, I really don't know what to buy coz I still have a lot to learn about cosmetics. I will do a separate post on this as I have some interesting photos to go with the story ^^
As for London Fashion Weekend, I must say I am not too enthusiastic about it as most of the goods are pretty expensive. Well, most of the stuff there are designers so price tag that says £300 after discount is not surprising, right? Some of the things there are affordable but does not strike any interest for me.
Gordon Brown has finally been defeated after months of speculation that he probably won't make it on the next election. David Cameron has been on the newspaper almost daily before the final showdown. I must say the columns that screams image adverts sure works in his favor. Well, for me, as long as the PM do their job and ensure peace and stability, I'm all for it.
Ahchoo...sneezing madness on the way...summer...aiii
